Student Representative Council
What is an SRC?
SRC stands for School Representative Council. It is a group of students who are elected by their peers to represent them. The council works with the school staff to improve the school for all students who attend it.
How does it work at Joeys?
Elections for the SRC take place at the start of the year. Students nominate themselves and two boys and two girls are voted in from each year level. They then serve on the SRC for one full year.

What sorts of things does the SRC do other than have meetings?

attend leadership conferences

hold mufti days and other fundraisers for charities

negotiate with staff for changes

organise fun activities for students at school such as games between staff and students at lunch time and school dance parties
